LOTH’s 125th Giving Campaign is filled with engaging fundraising events driven by our employees to tie into our 125th Anniversary Celebration.
Employees are mobilized to engage in the local community and support nonprofit organizations they are passionate about. We had over 25 submission ideas that tie into the Giving Campaign and will be executed throughout 2016.
To honor Earth Day and Arbor Day we selected to give to the The Canopy Project. This is a charity run by the Earth Day Network, which has planted more than 3 million trees in 32 countries so far. For every $1 they receive, they plant 1 tree! To tie in to LOTH’s 125th Anniversary, we have set a minimum goal of planting 125 trees.

This event raises money and awareness to help find permanent homes and loving families for children in foster care. All 125 kicks go toward helping a child find a home along with our donation of $1,250!

LOTH volunteers helped provide the nutrition kids need to heal and allow parents more time to focus on their critically ill children. Taste of Hope takes care of all the details including the food, recipes, cookware, and the instruction from a professional chef.

Creative Living provides amazing apartment housing and support for physically disabled individuals. They provide a supportive community where the residents share the commitment to build a self-sufficient, productive life that fulfills the potential of each individual.

Pelotonia is a bicycle ride event of varying lengths, with 100% of funds raised going to the OSU James Cancer Hospital/Solove Research Institute for cancer research (costs are covered by corporate sponsorships). To date this very worthwhile event has raised in excess of $106 million towards the fight to end cancer.

Buckeye Cornhole 4 Cancer is a charity cornhole tournament to raise awareness for all forms of cancer, celebrate the lives of those who have fought or is fighting cancer, and to raise money for cancer research. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Urban and Shelly Meyer Fund for Cancer Research at the James. Together, we can toss away cancer—one bag at a time.

LOTH plans to donate over 125 supplies from our Columbus and Cincinnati locations and hopes help to save countless paws!

We will work with the Salvation Army of Columbus to adopt a family this Christmas and shop for the items they are in need of. The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church established in 1865, has been supporting those in need without discrimination for 130 years in the United States. Nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services.
